Exclusive Wedding Venue
It is always a special thing to photograph a wedding. But just every so often you meet a couple who’s connection to each other is so obvious and beautiful.
Heather & Daniel wanted no fuss for their wedding and did a few things differently for their wedding day. They wanted a relaxed documentary wedding photographer as they were not big fans of the spotlight and didn’t want the photographer to be visible, although they wanted the natural events of the day captured. It was a real honour to share the day with them and capture so many beautiful moments between them. We had a fantastic sunny day with a beautiful sunset too which always helps!
They are part of an exclusive set of people who have had their wedding reception at hillside Golf Club. The club only allows the relatives of it’s members to use the club for a wedding reception so it’s doubtful I will visit there again any time soon!
Daniel and his brother did things a little differently and arrived at the church in style on a tandem bike! It was literally around the corner from his parents house which was a good thing as they hadn’t had a lot of practice and were a little wobbly to say the least!
Local parish church wedding
The church ceremony was held at the families local parish Ainsdale village church and when I arrived the church was buzzing with excitement. It was great to see that Daniel had arrived unscathed! The church has a beautiful community garden which has been designed to encourage the local bee population.
So there was no need for a wedding car for Heather to arrive at the church because it was literally a couple of streets away! Family & friends we’re waiting at a couple of bars on route to walk together to the church which was a nice touch.
Heather’s sister and bridesmaid Jennifer along with a few friends from her opera society sang the most beautiful songs as Heather arrived and it was a lovely scene to witness as Heather walked up the aisle with her father.
There were quite a few laughs after the ceremony as Heather decided to do a selfie with friends and family in the church!
Alternative Travel plans!
So talking about doing things a little differently, Heather & Daniel had decided to take the train to Hillside golf club with the guests! They were greeted with flowers and the official Merseyrail photographer as they arrived at the Ainsdale station. It was a nice touch of Merseyrail to also put a congratulations on the electronic departure boards!
A big congratulations
It was a real honour and pleasure to capture so many beautiful moments during Heather & Daniel’s wedding day. I wish you all the best for the future and thank you for trusting me with your special day. I hope you both love the photographs!
If you are looking for a photographer with a relaxed style with 100% no posing or interference in your day then I would love to hear from you!
