Another amazing day as a Liverpool Wedding Photographer! I loved sharing Jan & Donovan’s big day and I was very proud to capture some special moments for this Liverpool Bride & Groom!
Bridal Preparations at Titanic Hotel
Jan & her bridesmaids prepared for the big day at The Titanic Hotel Liverpool. The girls were drinking champagne and having a right laugh when I arrived. Jan had chosen a traditional Indian dress for the bridesmaids in a gorgeous blue for the girls to wear, and they looked stunning. Jan put on her wedding dress in private with her chief bridesmaid. There were lots of open mouths and tears from the girls when they saw Jan in her dress for the first time! Here are more Top Wedding Venues in Liverpool for you to consider.
St. Georges Hall Concert Room Wedding Ceremony
The Concert room in St Georges Hall is a truly stunning example of Georgian architecture. Since it’s refurbishment in 2006 it has been available to hire for weddings and events and it makes a fabulous backdrop for any wedding ceremony. There was a real feeling of excitement and anticipation in the Concert room as I arrived. The groom was quite nervous as he waited for his bride to arrive, although his groomsmen were doing their best to make him laugh!
The room lit up as Jan and her bridesmaids entered the ceremony room, I caught a great shot of the groom’s mum and dad as they saw Jan walk into the room. There were quite a few tears from Jan’s mum and the bridesmaids during a very emotional wedding ceremony and I am glad to say I managed to capture some of that pure emotion. Jan & Donovan stayed on at St Georges Hall for the drinks reception and cut the cake a little earlier than usual to massive applause! Photographs Of Oh Me Oh My Wedding Venue
I Love being an Oh Me Oh My Wedding Photographer. Based in West Africa house Oh Me Oh My is a beautiful historic building with lots of history. Facing the iconic Liver Building on the Strand, it is an impressive building in its own right. Before Leaf on Bold street took it over it was originally purpose-built for the Bank of British West Africa in 1920. It was designed by architects Briggs, Wolstenholme & Thornley. Made from Portland stone and Aberdeen granite it has marble floors, the original classical ceiling mouldings and 20ft columns that line the centre of the room. It makes a fabulous setting for a cool wedding reception.
Hilarious Speeches.
Great speeches by the father of the bride and the groom, which were totally eclipsed by the best man, who’s hilarious speech had the room in fits of laughter. He had some fabulous anecdotes of previous adventures with the Liverpool Groom, the funniest was a tale of drunken swimming in the Mersey, in which they had to be rescued by the coast guard!
Photographing First dance in traditional Indian dress
Donovan appeared back in the room having changed into a traditional Indian suit to lots of cheering and laughter. With his shades on he looked quite cool and ready for the first dance with his bride. It was a great first dance and it was followed by lots of action on the dance floor!
