Shankly Hotel Wedding Photography

It was such a buzz to be the Shankly Hotel wedding photographer at Annie & Tim’s wedding. Housed in the Millennium house in the city centre, The Shankly Hotel is one of Liverpool’s top wedding venues. The wedding reception was in the fabulous Garden of Eden, which is on the top floor of the hotel boasting a 360-degree glass exterior. It has views of Liverpool’s iconic buildings including the Three Graces, Pier Head and the Liver buildings. With a massive outdoor terrace, it is the perfect summer wedding venue. As a Liverpool wedding photographer, it’s such a thrill to use a camera for a living at one of the Top Liverpool Wedding Venues.

PHOTOGRAPHING THE BRIDAL PREPARATIONS

The bride had her bridal preparations at her beautiful Victorian family home. With lot’s of bridesmaids and flower girls, the bride had plenty of company as she was helped into her wedding dress! All of the bridesmaids and the father of the bride were excited to see Annie in her dress for the first time! After the flowers arrived, the wedding car was waiting to whisk the bride to the wedding ceremony at Christ the King church. Here’s How To Find the Perfect Flowers For Your Wedding Day

CHURCH WEDDING CEREMONY

Tim had plenty of support himself as he was waiting for his bride with his best men and his ushers at the church. There were lots of wedding guests to meet and greet! Such a great atmosphere as everybody waited for the bride to arrive for the ceremony. All eyes were on the bride as she walked down the aisle with her father. Annie had a big smile for her fiancé as she arrived at the altar. With some beautiful hymns, the wedding vows had a few of the bridesmaids in tears. The church erupted with massive cheers after the exchange of rings and the immortal words “I now pronounce you…..”

The whole wedding party joined the happy couple for the signing of the register, and there were a few jokes thrown around as the newlyweds signed the register. The happy couple asked half of the guests to wait outside the church to shower the newlyweds in confetti as they walked straight out of the church! The bride was keen to do a bouquet toss with lots of Annie’s female wedding guests hoping to catch the flowers. After loads of hugs and congratulations from the happy couples friends and family, it was time to head to the Shankly Hotel for the wedding reception.

WEDDING RECEPTION AT THE SHANKLY HOTEL

The Garden of Eden was dressed beautifully for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast, the sun was shining on a beautiful summer afternoon. A perfect day to enjoy the massive outdoor terrace for the drinks reception with all of the wedding guests enjoying the champagne and canapés. The roof terrace is high enough to have amazing views of the Liverpool skyline. After some fun and quick family portraits, we headed around the best spots of the hotel to capture some relaxed couple portraits. Here are a few tips on How to Look Great in Your Wedding Photographs. The room went crazy as the happy couple were announced into the wedding breakfast. With two best men making speeches, the groom was under a lot more pressure than usual! After watching an amazing sunset from the roof terrace it was time to cut the cake and the first dance. With an excellent band that kept the guests on the dance floor, it was great fun to capture the wedding guests getting down on the dance floor.

SHANKLY HOTEL – THE PERFECT LIVERPOOL WEDDING VENUE

Liverpool FC fans must have had their dream come true when the Shankly Hotel opened its doors! Based in Millennium House on Victoria Street, the Shankly Hotel wedding venue is right in the middle of the city close to the amazing nightlife and shopping districts.
