Rookery Hall wedding photography

I love being a Rookery Hall Wedding Photographer. I have photographed many weddings here and always love coming back to photograph another wedding! Being a wedding photographer at this amazing venue is always a wonderful experience. Every wedding is different and what makes being a Cheshire Wedding Photographer such an exciting job. Rookery hall situated in Nantwich Cheshire is a fabulous venue if you are getting married. It really is a stunning backdrop for your wedding photos.

Historic Wedding Venue

Rookery Hall is a country house dating back to 1816, which has been re-designed to be the perfect wedding venue. With a choice of the Aynsley, Spode or Wedgewood suites for your bridal preparations, they are the perfect place for a bride to get ready for your big day with your bridesmaids and flower girls. The rooms are light and spacious, which helps your wedding photographer to compose interesting well-lit compositions. There are plenty of suites for the groom and his groomsmen to have their preparations at the hotel too.

Rookery hall has two main rooms for weddings – The Morning room for small intimate gatherings of up to 30 people or you can have a grander more spacious setting for up to 160 people with the Worleston suite. This room has a wall of glass at the back where the wedding ceremony is held. The room provides fantastic light to capture some fantastic images as you say your wedding vows. If you fancy an outdoor ceremony during the summer, Rookery hall can provide ‘The Garden Pavilion’ in the beautiful grounds by the miniature lake. You can have up to 140 guests if you take this option for your wedding ceremony. It is a perfect setting for you to say your wedding vows and be married.

After you have tied the knot, it’s back to the original building for the drinks reception where you can enjoy drinks with your guests in the bar, which opens out to a wonderful summer terrace with great views of the massive grounds. The Worleston suite can then be dressed for the wedding breakfast and to host the speeches, cutting of the wedding cake and evening party. It’s always a real thrill to be a wedding photographer at Rookery Hall. I would be delighted to join you and your family on your special day.

Below are some of my favourite photographs I have taken at Rookery Hall. If you are getting married there get in touch to see if I am free on your date.

Relaxed & Natural Wedding Photography

My style of photography is called documentary wedding photography.  I want to capture as much of the real stuff during your wedding day with no posing or stopping you. I love to photograph the connections, the looks, the laughs, and the tears. I won’t stop or direct any part of the day so you can kick back and just enjoy your wedding without ever having to worry about the photographer. You can look back in years to come with your kids and remember real moments from your special day. All of these special moments shared with your family and friends will become precious family heirlooms.  I want you to look at your photographs of rookery hall in years to come and laugh and cry at each special memory of you and your loved ones and remember them as they were, and not just a person in a line up. Taking photographs of people unawares captures their real personality which is so much more valuable than a fake smile at the camera.

Rookery Hall is the perfect venue for a wedding

Rookery Hall dates as far back as 1816 when it was first built. It was known as “The Rookery, Worleston” and was built and owned by William Hilton Cooke. The hotel is set amongst 38 acres of wooded parkland and gardens near the River Weaver. The front gardens surround a small lake with a fountain. There are great views from this side of the gardens to beautiful meadows and woods. The willows surrounding the small lake are great for taking relaxed portrait photographs of the happy couple, and the grounds themselves really come alive during the summer, which looks incredible in the photographs.

Rookery Hall can also offer luxurious accommodation for you and your guests. Up to 140 people can be catered for which is perfect for people to slip off to bed when the evening celebrations end. Rookery Hall is just a wonderful venue to photograph weddings. From winter to summer weddings it has a lot to offer and I always have a great time photographing there. I would really love to join you on your wedding adventure so Get in touch to see if I am free on your wedding date.
