Inn on the Lake Wedding Photographer

It was such a thrill to be the wedding photographer at Su & Rob’s Inn On The Lake Wedding. What a stunning wedding venue. It was my first time photographing here and I was blown away by the photographic opportunities. I can’t believe I get to photograph weddings in such stunning wedding venues like Inn on the Lake.

PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS AT THE INN ON THE LAKE

This award winning wedding venue sits right on Ullswater Lake with stunning views of the lake and Helvellyn mountain range. There are 47 en-suite rooms for the wedding guests too. What a perfect place to get married and be an Inn on The Lake wedding photographer. The bride was in one of the beautiful rooms overlooking the lake for her bridal preparations. She had the full help of her maid of honour, bridesmaids and flower girls as she got ready. After hair and make up were done and the wedding dress put on, it was time to grab the flowers and walk to the beautiful pavilion on the edge of lake Ullswater with her son who was giving her away.

CIVIL WEDDING CEREMONY ON ULLSWATER LAKE

The groom was greeting the guests with his best man and ushers at the pavilion by the lake. What a setting for a civil ceremony. The light and backdrop were perfect to capture some great compositions with my camera. After a highly charged exchange of marriage vows and rings, the registrar invited the happy couple and witnesses to sign the register. After being handed the marriage certificate by the registrar the bride and groom were duly ambushed with confetti as they walked back down the aisle!

A SURPRISE BOAT TRIP TO PHOTOGRAPH

Lots of hugs and kisses for the newlyweds from the guests during the drinks reception. The guests had fun as they enjoyed the scrummy canapés and champagne. The big day was going in a splendid fashion! It was so easy to photograph interesting angles with such a stunning scene. We had a real laugh photographing the family formals before the bride and groom were welcomed to big cheers into the wedding breakfast. Some of the most emotional speeches from the groom and best man I have witnessed as a wedding photographer, it really was touching to photograph.

A fun cutting of the cake and a surprise ferry trip around the beautiful Ullswater as the sun was setting. I got some amazing photographs of the views from the boat. The flower girls also got to captain the boat which they both loved! We shot some stunning relaxed couple portraits and a great first dance ended the day on a real high. What a magical experience to photograph and capture some great moments for the newlyweds!

What a fantastic day being a wedding photographer at Su & Rob’s Inn On The Lake Wedding. I hope you enjoy my favourite photographs below.
