Hafod Farm Wedding Photographer | Leasa & Adam

I am so glad Leasa & Adam chose me to photograph their wedding at Hafod farm. A really magical wedding day with some of the best speeches I have witnessed.

HAFOD FARM IN BEAUTIFUL SNOWDONIA

What a country-wedding venue Hafod Farm is! Set in Conwy Valley in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, the views of the surrounding hills are impressive. The buildings themselves are grade II listed and date back to the 16th Century. It really was a joy to photograph at Hafod Farm, one of the best venues to have a wedding in the area. Leasa and Adam both had their own farmhouses to prepare for the day with their bridesmaids and Ushers.

WEDDING CEREMONY IN 500 YEAR OLD TALL BARN

The Tall barn at Hafod farm is simply stunning. This Grade II listed building is 500 years old. It oozes atmosphere and with the wooden chandeliers and exposed brick really looks the part. A fabulous reading during the wedding ceremony by Adams sister Alice with a gift of a handy Haynes spoof guide to marriage was a nice touch, and got a good laugh from the guests. After the exchange of vows and rings the couple were ambushed by some of the kids with confetti as they walked back down the aisle!

MARQUEE PHOTOGRAPHS

After the ceremony it was back to what was the milking shed!! for drinks and some good old hugs for Leasa & Adam from friends and family. I really have to work hard at this point in the day to photograph as many greetings as I can. It’s great fun to capture some natural photographs of the guests just kicking back and enjoying themselves. The wedding breakfast was in a fabulous Marquee that had been decorated DIY style by Leasa & Adam and looked fantastic. Adam & Leasa are big music fans and had worked really hard with the DIY stationery. Genuinely some the best I have seen. The kid’s place settings had their names in Scrabble letters (glued of course), and each table had one of their favourite albums as a theme (Anybody who lists Joy division and Arctic Monkeys as their faves is alright in my book) The guests all had small hand made gifts which were truly special. The wedding cake was surrounded by masses of little cakes and cupcakes (Which I discovered were delicious!!)

Before the speeches, their son Jak had the Marquee in tears and laughter with a fantastic slideshow of photos of the family and especially his relationship with Adam, who needed a tissue or two! Before the room could recover Adam gave the most heartfelt and genuine speech, which had everyone in tears again! The best man had a tough act to follow, but hit the just the right note between hilarity and revealing too much of their crazy past deeds. It was back to the Tall barn for the evening shindig with the crowd well up for a boogie. Some top music by Night Baker Wicked for the first dance ended a fabulous day at Hafod Farm. Loved, loved, loved spending the day with Leasa & Adam, a fab couple who really wear their hearts on their sleeve. Massive congratulations to you both! I could capture wedding images at Hafod Farm every weekend. A quirky country-wedding venue with bags of character, I’m really looking forward to going back.
