I love photographing kids at weddings because they are so spontaneous and funny. They don’t care what people think so they do the craziest of things at weddings because they just want to have fun. So I always try and focus on them for a while especially just before the first dance, just in case I capture something truly funny. Although things can be a little overwhelming sometimes for the little ones, and there are tears…….
This little flower girl had been having a fab morning getting lots of attention and hugs from the bride and the bridesmaids, as I photographed the bridal preparations. She looked very beautiful in her flower garland as she walked up the aisle in front of the bridesmaids at Angela & Paul’s Inglewood manor wedding. The poor little thing was totally overwhelmed as she walked up the aisle. What else could she do but run to the safest place at the top of the aisle – her dad, the best man.

I love images like this one because it’s such a sweet moment of a little girl finding sanctuary in her father’s arms after a very scary thing for her to do! For the mum and dad and close relatives, it’s a priceless moment preserved for all time.
