Things that make being a Liverpool wedding Photographer so amazing? First off it’s always such an honour to witness my happy couples have what must be one of the best days of their lives. Secondly, it’s serious job satisfaction knowing you have captured a treasure trove of real memories from the happy couples special day.

My approach as a wedding photographer is totally hands-off allowing me to photograph real moments from every part of the wedding day. The bridal preparations, the wedding ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and finally the first dance.

Can I tell you my fave part of the wedding day? Not Really, as it really depends on how much love is going around at that particular point of the day. I have had amazing experiences capturing tears from the mother and father of the bride when they see their daughter in her wedding dress for the first time.

I have witnessed some seismic emotions during the groom’s speeches, big tears at the first dance, but out of every part of the day, it’s usually the ceremony that has the most opportunity for that dramatic wedding photograph!

The photograph I have chosen for this Why I Love this picture is the moment when the groom turns to look at his bride walking up the aisle. Always a tricky shot to capture as there is not normally a chance to see the groom’s face as well as the bride.

This great image was captured at the fabulous Liverpool Town Hall and it’s plain to see the groom’s utter delight at seeing his bride for the first time. He was literally shaking his head for minutes afterwards he was in such disbelief at how stunning his bride looked.

To be honest it’s easier to catch shots like this at civil ceremonies as the registrars are usually a lot more relaxed. Churches are fab don’t get me wrong, but there is usually a lot more restriction on a photographer’s movements during the wedding ceremony and especially the exchange of rings and vows.

Amanda & Leon are actually from down south and had purchased property to lease in Liverpool. They fell in love with our magical city while viewing properties and were so impressed they had to get married here! I am so glad they did as I was lucky enough to be their The Venue Royal Liver Building & Liverpool Town Hall Wedding Photographer. Maybe they read my 5 Reasons to Get Married in Liverpool article!

The happy couple picked a perfect match of ceremony in Liverpool Town Hall and the reception in the iconic Venue Royal Liver Building. I Love both venues, they are two iconic buildings from Liverpool and they both have oodles of class too.

An amazing Liverpool wedding day with a fabulous couple who didn’t stop laughing together all day. Truly magical to witness and photograph Amanda & Leon’s Liverpool Wedding.

A big shout out to The Venue Royal Liver Building. They worked tirelessly all day to make the happy couples big day one to remember. They really looked after little old me too! They are on my list of Top Wedding Venues in Liverpool

I would just like to give a big congratulations to the happy couple Amanda & Leon, I wish you all the luck in your future together!
